We all need a spa treatment every now and then, especially as we enter into the holiday months. This smoothie provides just that with the cooling and refreshing elements of watermelon, lime, mint, and avocado paired with Swiss chard, an excellent source of folate. Folate has been known to produce mood-regulating neurotransmitters like serotonin. At the same time, avocados add a dose of healthy fats like omega-3's that have been shown to play a role in your emotional well-being.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup Swiss Chard
  • Mint
  • Cucumber
  • 1/Avocado
  • 1 cup Watermelon, fresh
  • 2 tbsp Lime Juice
  • 3/4 cup Coconut Water
  • 3/4 cup Water

Directions

Add ingredients in the order listed and blend until smooth.
